UAE - specialist IP circuits to be launched in Federal Courts

News from the Emarat Alyoum website (here in Arabic) of Decision number 137 of 2016 from the Minister of Justice establishing IP circuits in the Federal Courts of the UAE. The report also refers to IP training for the judges in the circuits.

This part of the Empty Quarter is delighted by this news, having long hoped for (and lobbied for in his alternative life) the creation of specialist IP courts in the UAE. This specialist circuits should allow for all IP issues, and particularly more complex issues, to be heard with even greater certainty which will give greater confidence to businesses seeking to invest and innovate in the UAE.
