News from good friends Saba & Co and good friends Kadasa & Partners that the Trade Mark Office in Saudi Arabia has implemented on-line filing of trade mark renewals. It is not yet clear whether renewals must or may be filed on-line. Previous reports from last year here.
The roll out of on-line filing comes with a price. The official fees for publication of the renewal have been increased from SAR300 to SAR3,000 (about US$800). That increases the official fees for a renewal from US$880 to US$1,600 and brings the publication fees to the same level as for an application.
This follows earlier fee increases in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Kuwait.
